Bradley was born on July 22nd, 1992 in Tacoma, Washington. For the first few years of Bradley's life, you couldn't pry him away from his mother. As he grew older, he loved to play Nintendo, wrestle, play basketball, and go fishing with his Dad. He was a pro Nintendo player before he was 2. He also loved to go for rides on his dad's motorcycle and loved helping drive his Great Grandpa's riding lawnmower. He also loved helping his Great Grandpa in his shop. He was a great kid that was always respectful and kind to others, except when he bit his cousin Ryan in the back over an Easter egg full of candy. When Bradley was 3, we moved to California. He spent the first couple months living with his adopted Grand Parents, Grandpa Art and Grandma Rita Cooke. He loved Grandpa Art's house because Grandpa Art is cool and had video games and motorcycles. We then moved to Elk Grove where Bradley made friends quickly. Shortly after he started school at Capital Christian Center. That's where he met his Best Friend Jordan Modellas. Jordan and Bradley were inseparable. They were always laughing and having a good time. He also loved going to his grandparents to go swimming in their pool. He learned to swim and was a complete fish at 3. He was diving and swimming around the pool. He could snorkel around and around the pool without ever lifting his head. When Bradley was 4, he asked his teacher Mrs. Hudson how he could accept Jesus into his heart. She prayed with him and that was the beginning of Bradley's wonderful relationship with the Lord. Bradley also had some new competition, his little sister was born. He was a very special big brother. He loved his sister very much. When Bradley was 8, we moved to Tracy, California. Bradley again made new friends quickly, however Jordan still remained his best friend and would often come down for a visit. Bradley had many friends in our neighborhood. He would spend hours playing basketball and football. He also liked playing X-box. MX Unleashed and Halo were among his favorites. Bradley loved school and was very smart. His favorite teacher in the whole world was Mrs. Jayne. When Bradley got his first dirt bike, his Honda XR80, you couldn't get him off of it. We had a great time as a family riding at Carnegie. We would go there as a family at least a few times a week. The hills at Carnegie made Bradley a very good rider. There was nothing he would not try. He loved racing his mother. She finally decided that she couldn't keep up after a few trips to the ER. She now has the scars to prove it. Bradley also loved to play baseball. He made many wonderful friends on the team. He always had a great time playing. Bradley truly just enjoyed playing the game and having fun. His mother was by far the loudest mom on the team. She would continuously be yelling at him for eating sunflower seeds while on third base. She would ask him how he could field a ball with his hand in his pocket. But when he got a hit, you better have your ear plugs in. She would make sure he knew how proud she was of him. Even when Bradley struck out, he would come back to the dug out with a huge smile on his face. This is not the typical reaction for someone who just struck out, but Bradley was not a typical kid. It's not that he didn't care or didn't want to do well, I think he was just happy to be playing. I think there's a lesson for all of us in there somewhere. Bradley loved going to church and being part of the youth group. He enjoyed learning more about the Lord and hanging out with other Christian kids. Although he was one of the younger kids in the group, he always had something insightful to contribute to the group. Bradley was wise in the Lord far beyond his years as you can see from his journal. Bradley also enjoyed fishing with his Dad and Grandpa. We spent many hours fishing at New Malones Reservoir and stream fishing in the mountains. Bradley's favorite thing to do however was riding dirt bikes. Bradley would printout pictures off the internet of Ricky Carmichael and CR85's (racing bike) while he was supposed to be doing homework on the computer. There is nothing on this earth he loved to do more. He loved camping in the mountains and riding the trails with his family and his extended camping family (the Ziller family). He also loved riding and racing motocross. Bradley was an amazing kid who always had a smile and a good word for all. He had a true love for life that was pure. He was fun to hang out with and be around. He was truly one of a kind. We want everyone to know Bradley and what he represented. He was an excellent example of what we should all want to be like. If you know Bradley you understand, if not, it is our wish that you can get to know him through this web site and journal. He is truly missed and will never be forgotten. The legacy he left behind will live on and we are looking forward to spending eternity with him and the Lord. We would like to thank everyone who had a positive influence on Bradley's life. |

You do not get to decide when or how you are going to die, God does. But, you get to decide what you are going to live like on Earth... I am glad we only get to decide how we are going to live now! Bradley Cox 5/14/04 |
